Finley, Team of 3 (I led and pitched)
We built an AI analyst that reads the news against a client's forecast and flags the assumptions that just broke. I designed the agent pipeline and evals and built the math layer, so every dollar figure comes from plain code. A measured scan took 129 seconds and about 3 cents of Claude usage.

For the OpenAI challenge, we shipped a rare-disease research map in 21 hours. It takes families from a diagnosis to related diseases, patient groups and researchers, and every claim is cited. I designed the graph schema and built the grading engine, the frontend and 3D map, the AI contact finder and the CI check that fails unless the 1,891-link graph of 93 diseases rebuilds byte for byte.

In about 6 hours I built an iOS and Cloud Run prototype that checks foods and cosmetics against each family member's allergies and diet, in 3 languages. I wrote the specs and directed 6 Claude Code sessions in parallel, then reviewed and integrated their work. Its allergen gate passes more than 1,800 tests with zero misses.

My first hackathon. Our team of 4 built Grasp.ai, which turns a topic into a lesson plan, a video script, AI-drawn scenes and narration, with a React frontend and a Python Flask backend. I built the frontend and the video pipeline, and I gave the pitch.

For 2 years, from August 2024 to June 2026, I tutored math for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District. Every month I worked with more than 40 college students on everything from pre-algebra through calculus.
My method was guided questions. I kept asking until I found the exact misconception, then let the student work the problem through on their own. I build software the same way: before I write any code, I find out who is stuck and exactly where.
A lot of what I build started as a problem I ran into myself. My student government tallied office hours by hand, so I built ASGC OS. The board adopted it after one demo, and weekly attendance reporting for our 15 members went from about 5 hours to 10 minutes. California's community college application, CCCApply, once took me 4 Zoom calls to figure out, so at an AI bootcamp I built an assistant for it with 2 teammates. It answers questions in 15 languages and cites its sources.
A good tutor checks the work, and so does my software: AI proposes, and plain code decides. In Pear, Gemini reads the label while a rules engine makes every safety call, and that engine misses zero allergens across more than 1,800 tests. I build with AI coding agents the way a lead runs a team: I write the specs, design the architecture and review every change.
Now I'm studying computer science at San José State University (SJSU) with a 4.0 and a spot on the President's List. I'm looking for a Summer 2027 full-stack internship, and I'm bringing the tutor's habits with me: find the misconception, then show the work.
Math made it click: I was strong in it, and programming put that logic to work on real problems. Building for my community made it matter, because software I wrote gave my student government hours back every week.
2023
I lived in Seattle for about a year. From April to December 2023 I was an ESL volunteer at Shoreline Community College, helping international students and immigrants from more than 20 countries finish their English studies and move on to college-credit classes. It was a short chapter, and helping people learn came back in a bigger way in San Diego.
2024 to 2026
San Diego is where I found my footing. I studied computer science at Grossmont College in El Cajon, tutored math and graduated in June 2026 with a 4.0, Summa Cum Laude.
Outside class, I served as President of the Associated Students of Grossmont College, representing 15,000 students, and my peers elected me Student Trustee on the district's Governing Board.
2026 to now
In 2026 I transferred to SJSU to study computer science, and I joined the ACM, SCE and Responsible Computing clubs.
October 2026 was a sprint: 3 hackathons in 10 days. I built Pear solo, led a team of 3 on RareVerse and led another team of 3 on Finley. The hackathon section has the details.

What I'm working on right now. Updated .
Brownie, an AI document workspace in Java and Spring Boot that I've been building since September 2026. You upload a form and your source documents, Brownie fills each blank from a passage in those sources, and nothing changes until you approve it. I'm also a full-stack developer on the Responsible Computing Club's hackathon dev team at San José State University (SJSU).
I'm taking CodePath's AI201 course alongside my computer science classes at SJSU.
A Summer 2027 software engineering internship on a full-stack team. I'll work anywhere and I'm happy to relocate. If your team builds software people rely on, let's talk.
